Collins Commits Future to Town

Micky Collins

Sevenoaks Town FC is thrilled to announce that it has extended Micky Collins' contract as First Team manager.

Chairman, Paul Lansdale, announced today that Micky Collins has extended his contract - which was due to expire at the end of the season - for a further two years.

Over the past two and a half years, Collins has rebuilt the First Team breaking club record after club record along the way. He has also played a pivotal role in integrating the youth and senior teams at the club - he regularly attends the club's school holiday football camps and is one of the lead coaches at the club's Development Centre.

Lansdale said: “I am incredibly pleased to have secured Micky's services for a further two years - these are very exciting times for the club. We have a successful First Team under Micky's leadership which is generating a buzz across the whole club from U7's to Veterans. The scenes at Greatness Park throughout the FA Cup run where members of the community, from youngsters to pensioners, came together demonstrate the important role that the club plays within the Sevenoaks community. Micky's experience and input into how we shape the club going forward will be key to our success."

Collins said: “I am delighted to have extended my contract with the Club. The next few years are going to be very exciting: we will continue to progress the First Team on the pitch, we will begin to see the benefits of the Player Pathway as that is implemented across the junior and youth teams and we also have much to look forward to off the pitch with the 3G pitch plans near to being finalised and the focus gradually switching towards building a new clubhouse."

The First Team's next home is on Saturday 7th January against Hollands and Blair.
