#1GameToGo and Sevenoaks are sitting in 9th place in the league with 47 points.
A very happy Easter weekend means that Sevenoaks are now guaranteed a top ten finish in the league in their first season at this level. The team have produced a very strong finish picking up ten points from their last four games including away wins against the 1st and 5th placed teams in the league.
The fans have seen some real desire and determination from the players on the pitch which is reflected in the results. Micky Collins and his coaching staff deserve praise for keeping the players motivated with an eye on building on this success for next season.
With one game left to play only Phoenix Sports who are currently in 10th place with 46 points can overtake us. A win in the final match against VCD Athletic could take the Oaks as high as 8th place with a points tally of 50.
VCD have been chasing fifth place Haywards Heath Town in recent weeks for the final playoff spot. However wins for both teams last weekend means that Haywards Heath Town are now safe and cannot be caught. In fact the match result this weekend won't affect VCD's league position at all as Hythe Town are seven points behind them in 7th place. So win, lose or draw they will finish the season one place outside the playoff places in sixth.
For Sevenoaks however there are plenty of targets still to aim for. Can we reach 50 points for the season, finish off an unbeaten run in April and maybe even break the 50 goals in a season barrier?
The action starts at 3pm on Saturday the 27th April at The Bourne Stadium. Why not come and support the team and celebrate the outstanding achievements from this season? See you there.
