Sevenoaks Town made it four straight wins after seeing off AFC Croydon to keep their title hopes alive.
Two second half goals by new signing Francisco Mbela helped Micky Collins' side to secure a comfortable 4 -0 win and their fifteenth clean sheet of the season - a result that closes the gap at the top of the table to five points with nine games left to play.
Town have already made this their best season on record: reaching the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, the semi-final of the SCEFL Challenge Cup and recorded their highest-ever points tally with another 27 points still up for grabs. It's been a huge turn-around from the years where Oaks were consistently in a relegation battle.
Town went in at the break 1-0 ahead thanks to a well-taken free kick by Chris Edwards on 25 minutes. It was almost a carbon copy of his free kick against Beckenham Town the week before.
After the break, Collins introduced Mbela who immediately doubled Oaks' lead with his first touch. On 79 minutes, Mbela scored his second of the game to put Oaks 3-0 ahead before being substituted having done enough to clinch the three points.
The convincing performance was wrapped up in the penultimate minute when Billy Bennett slotted home to make it 4-0.
Town's next three league fixtures are: 18th March away to Deal (15:00 KO), 21st March away to Erith & Belvedere (19:45 KO) and 25th March home to Ashford United (15:00 KO).
Next up though, Micky Collin's side welcome Ashford United to Greatness Park on Wednesday 15th March for the SCEFL Challenge Cup Semi-Final first leg, kicking off at 19:45.
