We're raising money for our powerchair teams so we need your support!
We’ve got a festive cracker for you in the lead up to Christmas as our first team face Crowborough Athletic in a top-of-the-table clash at Greatness Park on Saturday 17th December. What’s more, we’ll be taking this chance to raise money for our incredible powerchair teams!
Our sister club, Sevenoaks Powerchair FC, is Kent’s premier powerchair football club providing powerchair football opportunities at all levels for people with a physical disability. The team provide training and competition at both a regional and national league level.
Kyle Alexander is 15 years old and has Cerebral palsy in his arms and legs. He has been playing powerchair football since he was 6 years old and was a major player in Sevenoaks’ promotion to the WFA Premiership last season - the highest national division of powerchair football in England. He has developed so well that he was recently called into the England National Powerchair Squad. Kent and Sevenoaks have a player with the potential to be an England international for many years to come!
At the moment Kyle's current powerchair cannot keep up with its newer rivals and we are trying to support him to purchase a new powerchair called a Strikeforce, which will ensure he has the best chance of progressing on to international level. The cost of the chair is approximately £7,000 but Kyle has already secured some of the funds, so he now only needs £3,000 to reach his target. Let’s help him get there!
We will be holding a raffle at half time and selling mulled wine and mince pies with all proceeds being donated to our powerchair teams in addition to all the match day gate receipts.
