Sevenoaks Town became the first club through to the quarter-finals of the Kent Reliance sponsored Kent Senior Trophy with a 6-0 win over Southern Counties East League Division 1 side FC Elmstead at Greatness Park on Wednesday night.
Billy Bennett and Keiron McCann both scored twice with Joe Bingham and substitute Yacine Gnahore adding the others as Town completed their biggest win of the season.
Three goals in the space of nine minutes at the start of the second half put the result beyond doubt after finally overcoming the spirited visitors in the first ever competitive meeting between the two clubs with Elmstead pair Christian Howell and Louis Sprosen returning to face one of their former clubs.
Goalkeeper Danny Teeley kept his side in the tie in the first half with several fine stops before Billy Bennett broke the deadlock.
Rob French had made two important blocks at the other end - the second a good point-blank stop with the score still 0-0 as Elmstead started as if they were determined to run all night.
Bingham and Harrison Carnegie combined for Bennett's opener after 27 minutes - finally beating Teeley.
McCann doubled the lead within two minutes of the restart with the first of two classy finishes on the night, getting past his marker, before curling the ball into the far corner.
Teeley's mistake - failing to hold Greg Benbow's low free-kick then gifted Bingham the third, three minutes later. McCann then made the fourth for Bennett's second - a simple tap-in.
Teeley made amends with two more good saves, including blocking Byron Walker's one-on-one chance. U21's youngster John Brown came off the bench to replace Carnegie around the hour mark, setting-up McCann for the fifth - and his second - another great finish - again finding the top far corner - his fourth in two games - having been the match-winner against Canterbury City at the weekend.
Substitute Gnahore who replaced Bennett earlier, then knocked in the sixth from Chris Edwards' low pass.
