Sevenoaks saw the return of Rotherfield at home after the last time they met ended in a 2-2 draw in a tightly contested battle in the first game of the season.
It was much the same story this time around with a goalless draw and both teams defended well with not many clear-cut chances created throughout the 70 minutes.
Rotherfield did manage to break through once in the first half when a ball over the top of the defence set up a 1v1 but Berger-North reacted well and made himself big, blocking the shot which was then cleared by the defence. Sevenoaks manged to play some nice football around the visitor’s box but never seemed to trouble the goalkeeper.
The main scare of the game came late on in the game when Rotherfield won a corner and the ball fell at the feet of their striker who hit it at J.Reid who cleared it from inside the goal mouth. However, the referee awarded the goal as it had crossed the line, but then pulled it back for a goal kick as the linesman flagged that the ball had gone out of play from the corner kick.
Sevenoaks would have been very unlucky to not have come away from this game without at least a point but the end score was a fair result for both teams. The final score was 0-0.
