Two defensive mistakes proved costly as Sevenoaks Town suffered their first defeat of the season on Tuesday night.
They created several half chances in the opening 45 minutes, only to concede twice in the second half, before substitute Adam Marsh netted a stoppage-time consolation.
The game proved a frustrating one for Town - delays in getting replacement balls on the pitch and treatment for injured home goalkeeper Dan Ellis - seeing the referee add only five minutes at the end.
Town were nursing several injury problems with Maidstone youngster Ben Bridle-Card replacing Rob French in goal having returned the previous day after a spell at the club last season.
Steve Camacho headed over early on, before Bridle-Card blocked an effort at the other end.
Under-21 youngster John Brown looked lively down the right for Town, and went close with one effort.
Ellis was booked for dissent before Yacine Ghanore headed wide from Chris Edwards corner.
Anthony Fenech then saw his effort saved as Ellis back pedalled towards his own goal. However, Town's efforts were undone three minutes after the restart when Henry Muggeridge put the home side ahead.
Fenech and Ghanore went close before Josh Biddlecombe doubled the home side lead with 20 minutes left.
Ellis then had to leave the field after pulling up injured - Marsh was booked joining Jack Miles in the book - before touching home Camacho's cross - too little too late.
